Seven Months....

Sweet Libbi...How is it possible that seven months have flown by since your birth, but at the same time it feels like you have been with us forever?!

Here is a little about you on your seventh month of life:

You weigh around 21 pounds (BIG girl!) You wear mostly 9 month clothes and a few 12 month things, too.  Your jeans are definitely 12 months...you have got some junk in your trunk, girl! =) You wear a size three diaper (and considering that we've stocked up on these, I hope you'll stay in them for at least another two months!)  You have rolls beyond belief.  I could seriously just EAT. YOU. UP!

You still nurse five times a day and I love the time we get to spend together.  You will run your fingers through my hair or reach up and stroke my face.  I could just cry every time you do this (okay, maybe I actually do...) You have eaten oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, applesauce, peas, carrots, and green beans....and you have loved them all!  So far, I have not found anything that you do not like to eat!  Hopefully you won't be a picky eater like your momma! =0)

You have become such a little ham.  You will smile and flirt with EVERYONE!  You have started to scrunch your nose when you smile and it is the cutest little thing I have ever seen!  You have dimples just like your daddy - and I love seeing them!

You loooooove to sit up!  You are so much happier being on the floor now that you can sit up.  You reach for all kinds of toys and make sure to "taste" each and every one of them!!

You have two bottom teeth and you are about to cut one on the top!  Your bottom teeth came in with no problems, but this top one has brought you (and us) lots of sleepless nights.

You are still not much of a "napper"....you will usually nap for about 30 minutes in the morning, and then take a little cat nap (15 min or so) in the afternoon, and one more power nap (about 15 minutes)  in the early evening.  You go to bed at 7:30 and you wake up for school at 6.  On the days we do not have school, you will sleep in until around 7:15!

You are rolling everywhere!  Gone are the days of you flipping yourself over to your tummy and then screaming until someone returned you to your back.  You roll like a little log all over our den!  You are trying very hard to crawl.  You can get up on your hands and knees, but you haven't quite figured out what to do from there.  I know it won't be much longer before you are all over the place!

You have some of the funniest expressions and you are so entertaining!  I could watch you all day long (and you know it, too!) You get so excited when you see me coming and it just makes my heart melt.  There is nothing on this earth that I love more than seeing your face light up when I walk in the room.

You are still our little Mariah Carey (only MUCH more tastefully dressed) and you "sing" all the time.  It is still in an impossibly high pitch, but it is the most joyful noise I have ever heard!

You have said "Ma-Ma"...kind of.... You mostly say "mamama" when you are crying (especially in the middle of the night....so how could I NOT go get you???) Of course, I made sure to tell your daddy all about how "research shows that /b/ and /d/ sounds are the easiest to make and that's why you would say 'dada' first, but of course you wouldn't even know what it meant, etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah...."  But lo and behold when those "mamamama" sounds came out of your mouth, I just KNEW that you were specifically and purposefully calling for me - ha! ;0)

There are times when you love to be held and cuddle up.  Your newest thing is to give us "loves" and "sugars."  If I say, "ohhhhhh weeeee" you will lie your head down on my shoulder and give me loves.  Then you'll pick your head back up and smile and smile like you know you've just done the sweetest thing.

Other times, you absolutely do NOT want to be held and you make sure to let us know.  You have become very skilled at arching your back and kicking your feet when you want to be put down.  I have a feeling that you are going to be a very strong-willed little girl (obviously you get this from your daddy! ;0) )

You leave me constantly wondering how such a little girl can hold so much cuteness!  Just when I think you could not get any cuter/sweeter/more precious....you wake up the next day, and YOU ARE!  I love you more and more with each new day and I am so thankful to be your momma!  You are the light of our lives and we thank God for blessing us with you, our beautiful baby girl!  I love you Sweet Girl....Happy Seven Months! ;)
