Weekend Recap; The BEST day!

This weekend's weather was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of it.  We had the BEST day on Saturday...a family day....just the three of us!
We started our morning off at Buddy's....no, not this Buddy...

A new restaurant named Buddy's that is right by my school...
Here's Libbi checking out the menu...

...and then she decides she's just too hungry to wait for her order.

After we left Buddy's we went to a place that is one of my worst nightmares....Babies'R Us.
Yes, that's right...I hate Babies'R Us.
The lights, the crowds, the congestion, the billions upon billions of carter's onesies, not to mention the overpriced diapers, ridiculous amounts of toys/bottles/pacifiers, etc. to choose from, and the plethora of germs that are multiplying by the minute.  Don't get me wrong, Babies'R Us has lots of great things and I am thankful we have one near us, BUT if you ask me, I would much rather find what I need from the comfort of my couch with just the click of the mouse....

Anyway, we were on the lookout for some new teething toys, because the majority of Libbi's old ones were melted.  How did they melt? you ask. Well, her sweet daddy was trying to disinfect them since she had been sick all week...and bless his sweet heart; he just didn't know that you can't throw them all into a boiling pot of water....

So we were looking for a few new/unmelted/non-waxy things for her to gnaw on.  We also found some fun little foot rattles that really trip her out when she wears them! She just can't figure out where that noise is coming from and how to get those things off! You will probably notice that we like to keep things pretty casual when we're at home... if you are under the age of one, clothes are optional....although diapers are not. ;0)

After the trip to Babies'R Us we went to one of our favorite places (and when I say, "our"...I mean mine and Libbi's)....the mall!  Daddy was feeling extra generous on Saturday and let us just browse around and window shop through all of our favorite stores!  He even let us buy a few new outfits (without complaining, I might add!)

**Side note** While we perusing through the mall we saw this little girl (probably around 10 years old) and she was "walking" her dog.  Did I mention that this dog was a puppet??!!  One of those puppets that looks like it is walking when you manuever the strings just so.  And she was just walking through the mall with her mom; walking her dog!  A little while later we saw her in the food court and she was letting her dog/puppet "eat" crumbs off the floor.  I kid you not, she was walking this dog around the food court pretending that he was eating crumbs off the floor!!  Either that or he was sniffing around and getting ready to mark his territory....
Jeffrey and I had a good laugh over this....Libbi will probably grow up and walk her toy dog around the mall, because she has a mean old momma that won't let her have a real one!  If y'all see my sweet girl in about 10 years and her dog/puppet is eating crumbs off the floor at the mall....feel free to laugh and/or take a picture! ;0)

Now, back to our day....

After a delicious lunch of Chick-Fil-A, we came home, Libbi made her self comfortable (obviously!)  and the three of us just enjoyed each other's company.  We finished off our awesome day with pizza and lots of college football - including watching the dawgs win!  What could be better than that?!

Overall, we had a great Saturday....

And today....

Daddy's golfing.

Because after all he did yesterday...

He deserves it!
