29 weeks....

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 29 weeks (as of Friday 3/4)

Size of Baby: According to Baby Center, Baby Tippins is "a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel and weighs about 2.5 pounds (about the size of a butternut squash).  His/her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his/her head is growing bigger to make room for his/her developing brain."

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am within the healthy/recommend limits of weight gain - and that's as much as I'll disclose ;) I will say that when I went to the doctor this week, I had not gained any weight since my last appt.

Maternity Clothes: yes, please! :) I wear mostly maternity jeans and pants, but a few of my regular shirts still.  Some of my dresses have now turned into shirts - ha!

Gender: Only the good Lord knows....but, I think I have pretty much convinced myself that we're having a girl.  People ask me all the time if I have a feeling either way, and honestly, most of the time I think we're having a girl.  I don't really know if this pregnancy is similar to my pregnancy with Libbi.....I can't tell if I'm carrying high, low, wide, etc.  I just feel like I'm carrying a baby. :)

Movement: Baby Tippins has been a mover and a shaker this week!  There have been times that it is almost painful because his/her movements are so strong.  I never felt like that with Libbi, so this has been different.  I feel like when he/she moves sometimes, I can literally feel my stomach stretching....there have also been lots of hiccups this week.  Jeffrey and I laugh as we watched my belly jump up and down during church today

Sleep: non-exsistent. I had horrible insomnia when I was pregnant with Libbi, and it looks like the trend is continuing (BOO!) I have slept a little better this week (if I can get 5 consecutive hours, I count that as a successful night's rest!) :)

What I miss: Sleep! Being able to pick Libbi up out of the bathtub without feeling like I'm going to fall in there myself, leaning over to get Libbi out of her crib without my belly hitting the side, and overall just not feeling rested during the day.

Cravings: Frosted Flakes, ice cream (more specifically bluebell homemade vanilla with some hershey's hardshell on top) ;0) and steak/red meat!

Symptoms: insomnia, shortness of breath, heartburn and a few other things that I refuse to publicly admit - haha! :)

Best Moment This Week: Having a good report at my doctor's appointment on Monday.  Baby's heartbeat was going strong at 147 bpm and everything else looked great, too! And.....finally deciding on names!!  We have an official boy name and an official girl name picked out and ready to go :)
