There's No Place Like Home...

Grandad came home on Sunday....

We had such a wonderful time celebrating his birthday and his homecoming!  He left "All the 'Zalea Ladies" for a short while to come home and visit.  It was nice to have Grandad home even if just for a short time.

And while we missed hearing him play the piano and *bang* out a song....we were still grateful to be blessed by his joyful  singing....

Even though we wish we could have seen him "clog" and dance a little jig, we were so thankful he was happily a-hummin' and a-snappin' in his own home.

And although it is bittersweet to see him with my precious Libbi, I am still so thankful that I get to see them together. at home.  and I can tell that Libbi already adores him as much as I do....(even though he may or may not have called her a "fat-so" ;0) - ha!)

I love this picture of MawMaw and Grandad with all of their children....it makes me think of Psalm 31:28, "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellent, but you surpass them all.'"

As much as things change in this life, some things will always stay the same....
There really is no place like home.

I love you, Grandad and I am so glad that you were able to come home for your birthday!

"I will be your God throughout your lifetime;
until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
I will carry you along and save you."
