25 weeks....

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 weeks

(please excuse this picture, it's me with the self timer again)

Size of baby: According to Baby Center, Baby Tippins "now measures about 13 1/2 inches and weighs about a pound and a half "

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm guessing around 5 pounds??  Not really sure...since our scale is still dead - and I'm in no hurry to fix it ;)

Maternity Clothes: yes, please! :) i had lots of maternity clothes from when i was pregnant with libbi and some sweet friends let me borrow some of theirs, too.  i have a pretty big selection but, i feel like i'm already getting sick of everything i have.  it is nice that i don't have to worry about getting dressed for work this time around.  i think that has saved me a lot of stress (and money!)

Gender: Only the good Lord knows....this week i have been thinking boy!!  it could just be because i've been trying to finalize my plans for a boy nursery, but nevertheless, i have had the boy feeling this week....

Movement: More frequent and more definite.  Mostly at night and in the early morning.  I think I just don't notice it as much during the day since I'm moving around so much chasing Libbi. :)

Sleep: non-exsistent. I had horrible insomnia when I was pregnant with Libbi, and it looks like the trend is continuing (BOO!) When I do sleep, I have craaaaaazy dreams.  For some reason Libbi has been waking up like clock-work around 3:15 every morning this past week.  She will scream and scream until I finally go get her.  She then lies in our bed with us for around 30-45 minutes wide awake, but quiet.  Once she starts getting a little restless, I'll ask her if she wants to get back in her bed.  She says, "yes!" and I carry her back to her room and she'll go back in her bed and fall asleep without a peep.  It is bizarre and frustrating all at the same time.  Hopefully once she is 100% completely well and off her antibiotic this will stop???  And, speaking of the antibiotic....it really upsets her stomach so a couple of times this week I've had to change her diaper around 2am (which is always super fun) and then she'll wake up around 7 with another dirty diaper so our mornings of sleeping in have been few and far between.... again, hopefully once she is of her antibiotic and back to 100% she'll go back to her normal sleeping schedule!

What I miss: Sleep! caffeine (I still allow myself one can of coke a day (okay sometimes two if it's a REALLY bad day, but that is a considerable drop from the caffeine intake I'm used to), Changing diapers without dry heaving, and being able to carry Libbi upstairs without feeling like I'm going to pass out/hyperventilate.

Cravings: goldfish, cheetohs, chips and queso, and this week i've eaten a lot of fruit loops - ha!  jeffrey calls my side of the bed "the concession stand" and he'll ask what i have in stock for the week because i always have a plethora of snacks on my nightstand.

Symptoms: insomnia, but overall I've felt pretty good this week! :)

Best Moment this week: getting all of libbi's old clothes organized.  i started out sorting things and keeping them pretty well organized, but once life (and libbi!) started to get busy i ended up just throwing things in tubs or in the closet with no rhyme or reason to where i was putting them.  since i can't do a whole lot not knowing if this baby is a boy or a girl, i thought at least organizing all my girl clothes (just in case!) would make me feel somewhat productive.  it was fun and sad all at the same time to see some of my favorite outfits of libbi's and remember when she was that small!  libbi really enjoyed "helping."  she found a stash of newborn paci's and quickly snatched them up.  i found about eight of them in her purse later that night :)  she also loved trying to put on all the baby shoes.  she actually stayed pretty well occupied while i was folding and sorting.  maybe i should get out old paci's and shoes more often! :)  it was a nice to feel like i accomplished something.  if this baby is a girl, at least i'll be prepared with some clothes to start her off with ;) and if not, then i'll be prepared to consign them! :)
