Last saturday, Libbi enjoyed a date with her Daddy at chick-fil-a.
(he sure knows how to "woo" us Tippins women....Chick-fil-a is definitely our love language!) ;0)
Her Saturday started off like many others.....just lounging around in PJ's with no real plans of ever getting dressed for the day.
Until Libbi heard the news that tonight was her special date with Daddy!
She recruited her "glam squad" (aka me, myself, and I) to help her get ready for the big date. Jeffrey was banished to his own quarters and forbidden to see Libbi until she was 100% completely ready....after all, a girl's gotta keep the element of surprise in a relationship. ;)
She was very insistent upon what she wanted to wear, but unfortunately, her Christmas dress and a swim diaper were deemed inappropriate date attire for the evening. But let's be honest, what's a date without a little wardrobe drama?

She finally recovered when she remembered that there was someone special waiting for her downstairs....
Daddy and his Date for the evening....
She was so excited that she wouldn't have to worry about cooking dinner that night!
She waited anxiously for her knight in shining armor to get his chariot prepared....
And then I watched my two loves leave for their special night together!
(Don't worry, I had my own date with a People Magazine and the promise of chick-fil-a-to- go) ;)
I asked (okay, begged, pleaded, bargained, and bribed) Jeffrey to take a few pictures while they were out on their date and thankfully, he obliged.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, the slide at chick-fil-a is more appealing than interesting dinner conversation....
When they came back home, Libbi showed off all the goodies that she got on their date:
A flower
A sweet little daddy/daughter booklet
And their own special cow
Apparently, they must have had a great time, because not only did she give her date a "kiss" at the end of the night....
but she also felt comfortable enough to let him see her in all her glory....
and let him put her to bed ;)
All while this momma spent some quality time with the other man in my life....
