five on friday…on a saturday

five on friday…. on a saturday ;)
i've been a bit of a sporadic blogger, but i'm trying to get back in the swing of things (as always). after reading, i'm sure you'll see why this week was a little "off"

one
i will spare you the pictures and the details of the beginning of our week, because if you're anything like me the constant barrage of people posting on social media about the stomach virus is enough to make me want to delete my accounts… and then promptly make a doctor's appointment. but just know that i could post some of those pictures if i wanted to. but i don't. in fact, i'm feeling nauseous just typing about it right now….
(edit: as i was typing this post, we had been there. done that. before i could actually publish it, we were in "round two" ugh….)

so…..moving on.

two.
since we're (kind of) on the subject of bodily functions i feel like i have to ask if y'all have seen the commercial for the newest kids game called "doggie doo?" y'all. i don't even know what this world is coming to. seriously. have you seen this game?! i've only seen the commercials for it, but i can tell you right now that the tippins family will NOT be owning this. don't get me wrong, we love a little bathroom humor just as much as anyone, but a game based on dog poop?! no thank you.
and do yourself a favor and read the reviews for it - hilarious. everything from 5 stars for a dog that poops constantly to only 1 star for a dog that has a "serious case of constipation."
the actual product description is just too much…. i can NOT even believe that someone seriously suggests this game and that people are on board with it and market it. the description reads,
"Feed and walk your little pup, if he makes a mess you clean it up! When you squeeze his leash he makes a gassy sound that gets louder and louder until...plop. The first to clean up after the dog three times wins."
first - the use of the word "plop?!" i'm dying.
second - why, why, why would you want to play a game (or buy it for your children?!) where the WINNER is the first person to clean up dog poop three times. doesn't really sound like a "winner" to me….

granted, i'm not a dog lover. i admit that. so maybe i'm missing something here, but when i was a little girl all i wanted to play was "pretty, pretty princess" not "poopy, poopy puppy."

and….moving on.

again. :)

three.

might as well continue with the trend i've got going on -
i had a sweet tea from chickfila with lunch one day this week. something about the warmer weather just makes me want sweet tea - and chickfila's is the best! :)
anyway, i had left it in the kitchen and libbi so kindly brought it to me in the living room. she hands it to me and says, "hey momma, guess what?!…. i tried something new!" as i'm drinking my sweet tea, i say, "oh, really? what?
and she says, "i tried your tea. and i didn't like it, but i did try it. and don't worry, i just spit it back in the cup so it didn't get on the floor.
right. don't worry.

four.
we've watched frozen no less than four times over the past 24 hours. my girls are obsessed (and i have to admit i love it too!) i can no longer say the words, "let it go" without breaking into song.

five.
a few snapshots from our week…

happy weekend, friends! hope it's a happy (and healthy!) one!! :-)
